The Mystery of the Mechanics of Golf fades away when the Right Arm participation is Understood - Homer Kelley of The Golfing Machine

The Right Forearm and #3 Pressure Point you are going to want to insure them for a Million Dollars."

After 30 years of teaching golf and researching the Golf Stroke Mechanics the answer can be found in the Magic of the Right Arm. It is that simple.

The club is started Back, Up and In by the Right Forearm. This is a Hands Controlled Pivot and does not mean for one moment that the Body Pivot is neglected, abolished or replaced (9-1).

As the Right Foream starts the backstroke it will in turn cause the Right Shoulder to turn therefore allowing the upper torso to turn which will cause the Hips to turn and that will cause the left knee to point to a spot behind (to the right of) the ball as we roll to the inside of the Left Foot.

This is a Hands Controlled Pivot and allows more Precise Alignments throughout the golf stroke compared to a Body Controlled Hands. The blind person becomes acutely aware of their Hands and as they reach for a drink the body will respond directly, automatically, to the Hands.

When gripping the club with your left hand (right handed players) it is very important that you first align the clubface to your target and then position your left hand in a "Vertical" to the ground position on the target side of the grip of the club.

Fold the left hand around the grip making sure that the heel pad opf your left hand is on top of the club and place your left thumb on the "Aft" side of the grip.

At first it is tempting to move the left hand to the right to get the left thumb in the desired position in line with Pressure Point #3 (first joint of the right index finger).
