It is with the greatest of pleasure that I take this opportunity to re-collect my thoughts and let my mind wonder back to the days of January 2-11, 1981.

This was a time when golf Instruction was going to revolutionize conventional teachings of today.

The following is a true account of the times and events that took place at the First Authorized Instructor’s Course in The Golfing Machine which was conducted by Homer Kelley on the 2-11 January 1981. Those present for the course were Alex Sloan, Tommy Tomasello and Larry Aspenson.

Originally ten people had signed up for the course but only three eventually turned up. We were to be the fortunate ones as time was soon going to tell.

This is the story through the eyes of one of those who was present throughout this class which was to become a “Monumental Event” - Alex Sloan (USPGA, LM, GSED).

I had the great privilege of being in Homer Kelley’s first class for Authorized Instructors in The Golfing Machine from January 2-11, 1981. I was with him for nine to twelve hours a day going through Homer Kelley’s Curriculum for The Golfing Machine.

Alex Sloan (USPGA, LM, GSED) was in the First Authorized Instructors class in The Golfing Machine which was conducted by Homer Kelley. between 2-11 January 1981.

This was to become a very monumentous event which would eventually have  Authorized Golfing Machine Instructors worldwide. This was Homer Kelleys dream.

The following extract comes from Alex Sloan.

I was born on the 30th April, 1929, McLeansboro, Illinois. USA.

I graduated from M.T.H.S. in 1947 and attended Southern Illinois University for one year. I moved to Peoria, Il, where I went to work for Caterpillar Tractor Company. For a short time I worked in the parts department then after a long talk with my foreman, I signed up for their 4 year machinist apprentice course.

In 1950 I became engaged to my childhood sweetheart, Barbara Munsell. The date for our wedding was set for August 1, 1950.

During the summer of 1950 I was introduced to the game of golf. Little did I realize but this was to become a strong influence on me for years to come.

In late 1950, I was notified I was about to be drafted into the army. I had to go to Chicago for the draft physical.

Upon return home and having been married for three months, I made the decision to join the Air Force. I wanted to work on airplanes.

Homer Kelley

These notes were taken off a series of audio tapes with Mr. Kelley conducting an Authorized Instructors I class. This post is fairly long but I think everyone will enjoy. Homer states on these tapes that all of the research is now complete with the printing of the 7th Edition.

Feel no concern for the PERFECT STROKE. There are trillions of precision patterns with totally correct alignments and relationships, perfect for some application or preference.

Homer Kelleys Quest

Homer Kelley
Homers_Quest.jpg

Scott Gummer has done a great job in bringing the mythical figure of Homer Kelley to life in this book..

He is golfs most unlikely genius, yet Homer Kelleys story has never been told--until now.

In 1939, Homer Kelley played golf for the first time and scored 116. Frustrated, he did not play again for six months; when he did he carded a 77.

After a parade of teaching professionals failed to satisfactorily explain to Kelley why he was able to shave nearly 40 strokes off his score, Kelley concluded that if he wanted answers he would have to find them himself.

Steve Elkington (GSED) Quote "The Golfing Machine is the Holy Grail. It takes all the - Feels Like - things and explains them. That knowledge is the ultimate power.

This G.O.L.F. School includes comprehensive training in the principles and procedures of The Golfing Machine, which is revolutionizing the world of conventional golf instruction.

No matter what level of your golf, your golf skills and knowledge will be rewarded.

John Furze (GSED) will be conducting a high-powered intensive One Day "Golfing Machine School".

This is very detailed Instruction but will give you the Precision, Power and Truth to your gateway of great Golf.

Demanding that golf instruction be kept simple does not make it simple but just incomplete and ineffective. This must be recognized by all golfers or else golf will always remain a vague, frustrating and infuriating form of exertion.

These schools have proven extremely successful. "We get results and thats the name of the game"

Online Advertising

Banner advertising forms the majority of advertising on the Web. It is a powerful advertising medium that can be used for both brand awareness and direct marketing campaigns.

An advertising banner is a graphic image on a web page that is linked to a location chosen by the advertiser, often the advertisers website).

Banner advertising is not just about generating "click through" (although this is an important factor) which will depend on how effective your message/call-to-action is on the banner.

Banner advertising is generally considered a more affordable and effective way to promote brand awareness when compared with print media.
